I was born in Berlin. And yes I am proud to be a Berliner even though I think there are more beautiful cities. So this year there is really a lot of talking about how hip and cool Berlin is. Ive seen newspaper articles about it, blogs about it, celebrities talking about it and I am happy that Berlin has this “status” in the world at the moment. Today I bought the British GQ magazine and there is yet another article about Berlin, its called “Why we all want to be ein Berliner”. Let me quote some lines… “…and today Berlin is home to a cosmopolitan influx of entrepreneurs, creatives, new media nodes, flaneurs, fashionistas, hedonists and musicians…” ; ” Berliners are conceivably the coolest people on the planet today”. They also say that Berlin has been “pimped”, which made me laugh because I immediately had to think of X Zibit with a new show “Pimp my city”. I am glad about so many compliments for my hometown and a bit surprised to read a 5 page article about it in GQ mag. I am sure Berlin will become even more popular and hopefully someday be as fashionable as London or NY. It definitely has potential especially with the Berlin Fashion Week being that successful. To all my readers from Berlin…we live in one cool city ;)  Berlin…du bist so wunderbar Berlin…
