Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival. I wanna be honest, I never heard of that before until a few days ago. Unfortunately there is hardly any coverage of Aussie fashion events here in Germany so today I googled it and was more than impressed when I saw pics of the fashion shows that took place in Sydney this week. The fashion looks very nice and one thing made me really happy. All the models looked very healthy. The Fashion Weeks in Milan or Paris consist of sick looking skinny girls and Sydney is definitely not supporting that look ( BIG Thank you to whoever was in charge of casting the models ). When I looked at pictures of the “Hot in the city” fashion show that took place yesterday, I couldnt help but be reminded of the Victoria’s Secret fashion shows. They’re both lingerie fashion shows, the catwalk looked similar, they made the models dance and it looked very girly and flirty. Jennifer Hawkins closed the show with a lot of glitter and glamour. Although you cant deny that whoever was responsible for the show was inspired by VS, I would almost say that I liked this Australian show better than the VSFS07. Why? Because it still was about the fashion, not a multi million super hyped freak show about topmodels ( And Sydney had male models too ). So for anyone who likes a good fashion show….you MUST check out the pics after the jump…
