Which one do you like better?

Reprints are not a big deal in the world of fashion magazines. So I wasnt surprised to see that Natasha Poly’s Vogue Nippon September cover was chosen by the editors of Vogue Australia for their October issue. It is a very nice picture for a cover. No one can look so fierce like Natasha. But I just found it very interesting to see how much of a difference the writing makes. The fonts, the colors, it makes the cover look quite different although it is the same picture. In this case the huge difference of her skin and hair color is probably just because two different people used two different scanners, so lets ignore that. But Vogue Nippon loves to have the model’s faces behind the letters of the word Vogue, which I cannot understand because first: We all know its Vogue eventhough you cant read one letter and second : Its just ugly and destroys the look of the model. Thats why I prefer the version of Vogue Australia…you can see Natasha’s face without a “G”! Yaaay!

The Vogue Australia cover is soooo much better. The Japanese cover looks so amateur, I agree with what you said, we know it says Vogue, maybe they feel they want the Vogue brand to be clear and uninterrupted for language reasons maybe, do you think?? Minor detail, but the Australian one looks cool as well with Natasha’s face over the “O” but under the “U”…..
Nippon all the way! The colours are much prettier but the VOGUE thing is the only thing that bothers me.
