What’s better than one Magdalena?

Two Magdalenas!!! So I read the new Vogue Germany today and I knew there would be an ed with Toni Garrn shot by Karl Lagerfeld in it so i was like…ok….this is gonna be my favorite! An it IS great indeed but there is another editorial that impressed me even more. It is called “Amour fou”, it’s shot by Alexi Lubomirski and the model is Magdalena Frackowiak. Yes…she is the only model although you see two women in every shot. At first glance I thought they are two different models…very similar looking. But then I read it is only Magdalena and I thought “Wow…great photoshop job”. It’s almost impossible to see that it’s two pictures made into one. I think that this was a very hard shooting because they basically had to shoot every scene twice. Once withe Magdalena the woman, then she had to change her clothes and make up but the location had to stay exactly the same before they shot the same scene with Magdalena the “man”. The posing must have been so hard, especially when “they” had to touch “each other”. How confusing! Well… big applause for Vogue Germany for such an impressive ed. Here it is…

It was shot by Alexi Lubomirski and it impressed me a lot, because Magdalena plays two different roles. A woman and her own boyfriend so to speak, which is a big challenge, because they basically had to shoot every scene twice having Magdalena change characters 14 times!
