Aaron de Mey is Lancome’s make up artist and today I discovered his very cool website. It’s full of energy and artistic elements and I think it reflects Aaron’s personality well. There are several videos about him, in one of them he talks about how he appreciates the beauty of women all over the world and in the other videos Daria Werbowy and Elletra Rosselini tell us why they appreciate him…sounds boring? No it isnt thanx to the rock music in the background. Ok so….my point being…I like his website and I think you all should check it out: Aaron de Mey

Two questions: Why is topmodel Erin Wasson invited to Teen Vogue’s Young Hollywood party? How can she wear a lace see through dress without a bra to this event? I mean… its a TEEN party! There were tons of 16 year old guys and I’m sure they liked Erins outfit but I think it’s inappropriate to wear something like this outside of the bedroom. Still, despite the fact that it’s inappropriate I have to admit that Erin pulls it off quite well. For some reason she doesnt look tacky or cheap and she definitely has the right body for a look like that. Love the shoes, love the bangles, altogether it’s a great outfit that only very few women can wear. But Erin…next time you attend a Teen Vogue party…wear a bra.

Vogue time!!! It’s mid September which means that the Vogue October issues are in stores around the world. Above you can see from left to right: Vogue Germany, USA, Italia and GB. Which country decided to put an actress on the cover? The USA…as always. The cover with Rachel Weisz looks better than last months catastrophe with Keira Knightley…still…I think Vogue US slowly becomes an entertainment magazine instead of a fashion magazine. Vogue Italia’s cover looks very old school like, very classy but I dont like the lighting. Vogue GB chose Kate Moss…how surprising…not. And I understand that they want her to look natural but c’mon….she looks as if she just got out of bed. Vogue Germany looks like the exact opposite. Lots of makeup, big hair and pink font. I like it but sometimes less is more and thats why I think another font color would have been a better choice. Fact is….all Vogue covers are very different each month…..interesting, isn’t it?

New York Fashion Week is over…London Fashion Week started…Milan and Paris are about to begin. Of course I am looking forward most to Paris Fashion Week… no matter what anyone says, no one can deny that Paris is the most fashionable city. The Fashion Week will start on Sep.27th and will include shows from all the big designers like Karl Lagerfeld, Gaultier and Givenchy. On of the biggest model agancies “Women management” created very cool showcards for their models at Paris Fashion Week, showing their love and appreciation for their girls like Natasha Poly, Vlada and also Toni Garrn which is very exciting since this will be her first Paris Fashion Week. Here are the cool “I <3 Showcards”…

I wont post about fashion today. I will write about something much more important. Friendships. You are automatically part of your family…but you can choose your friends. Someone said that friends are the family you choose. And as much as I think that family is an important part of your life… I think true friends are even more valuable. By true friends I dont mean a person who is fun to hang out with or who you know for a long time. By true friend I mean someone who you trust unconditionally and who will always be there for you. Friends like that are hard to find…in fact, I think you are lucky if you know more than one person who you can call your true friend. Sometimes you think you found a true friend and then that person disappoints you. It hurts. It hurts me much more than being disappointed by a member of the family. How do you know if you can trust someone? How do you know that this could be a life long friendship? How can you be open for new friends if you were disappointed by old ones? The answer is… you cant. But there are certain people who havent made you cry. People who helped you and listened to you when you needed them. People who appreciate you and who accept you the way you are. Those are the people you can rely on. No matter how many people will upset you and no matter how many times you cry over someone that turned out to be bad for you…those downs will make you realize how rare and valuable the few true friends are. Remember….they are the family you choose…so choose carefully.

Here in Berlin we have a street called Kudamm. Kudamm is very pretty, lots of trees and small cafes…and all designer stores a girl looks for. One of those stores is Tommy Hilfiger and so I was excited to hear that I was invited to the launch of their new collection which took place yesterday. I didnt expect a big event to be honest but guess I was wrong. There were at least 500 people including socialites, wannabes, fashionistas and photographers. So in the end I was busy checking everyones outfits instead of checking the TH collection. But what I saw of it was really nice. Lots of casual dresses and blouses and of course TH sticks to its colors red, blue and white. My favorite piece was a pair of overknee leather boots, but when I saw that they were 400 Euros my excitement went away. And yeah…the models…poor models. There were 5 or 6 girls who had to stand on a revolving platform for 3 hours without moving. I hope they get good cash for that shitty job! Anyways…here are some pictures I took yesterday at the event…
