I don’t know why but I just love big hair at fashion shows. The more volume, the better so I really liked the styling at Tulle and Cloth’s Fashion Show at LA Fashion Week. It reminds me a lil bit of Amy Winehouse but we shouldn’t forget that this kind of hair was very popular back in the 60s and people like Priscilla Presley made it famous. The clothes of Tulle and Cloth were very 60s inspired as well, which explains the hair do and make up. I really liked some of their jackets with the shiny buttons. Check more pics after the jump…

This entry is hard for me because I really like Lauren Conrad as a person, but I have to say that her collection did not impress me at all. 80% of it looked very cheap in my opinion and the rest was quite nice, but not outstanding. There were 4 or 5 outfits that I really liked though, like the very simple, short black and blue dresses or the sheer blouses. I think I would wear a lot of that stuff for lunch or at the beach, but I really hope LC will impress me more next time. More pics after the jump…

The Ed Hardy Fashion Show is always one of the most exciting and fun shows. Loud music, dancing models and flashy colors are a must at every Ed Hardy Fashion Show. This time it was the same, colorful clothes for both girl and guys and even if they look as if only “young” people would wear them, ever since Madonna wears Ed Hardy shirts there is no age limit. Christian Audigier seemed to be in a very good mood- as always. Another big thing in the new collection are the fancy sunglasses and boots….two accesories that we will see on many celebrities very soon for sure. Check more pics after the jump…

Suh-Tahn’s Fashion Show seems very unlikely for the crazy and flashy city of LA. The collection is very classy and simple. The designers presented beautiful blouses, dresses and skirts as well as men’s clothes in colors like white, black, grey and blue. I think it’s nice to see a wearable collection like this in LA, hoping that this elegance will have a good influence on LA’s fashion. More pics after the jump…

LA Fashion Week has started!!!! One of the first shows of this exciting week has been the one of Whitley Kros. Very wearable, fun and summery clothes including lots of scarves, short pants, flower prints and bright colors were presented. I especially like the mix of the pastell colors, for example the mint green with the light pink as you can see on the picture above. Make up and hair looked very girly and fresh - just right for a Spring collection. See more pics after the jump…

…well…not really ;) But I will be in the land of kangaroos, vegemite and Miranda Kerr soon. My friend and I will fly to Sydney tomorrow morning and arrive there sunday night. Sounds like a horrible long flight, I know. But I am sure it will be worth it. I’m looking forward to relaxing at Bondi beach, climbing the Harbor Bridge and of course shopping!!! It’s always interesting to get to know new cultures and new people…it will be great! We will stay there for 3 weeks which means that I wont be able to update my blog daily, BUT remember my crew will be at LA Fashion Week and of course I will blog about that as much as I can. Hope you understand and will still check by regularly. See you soon!!!

Wow…it’s already been one year since Roberto Cavalli launched its line at H&M. This November it will be Rei Kawakubo’s turn when the Japanese designer will launch the Comme des garcons collection in H&M stores around the world. In Berlin, the following H&M stores will feature the collection on Nov. 13: Alexanderplatz, Friedrichstrasse and Potsdamer Platz Arkaden. So girls and guys, if you really wanna have something from the exclusive collection, let me tell you a lil bit about my Roberto Cavalli experience:
Last year in November I really wanted to have the golden Cavalli dress that you could see on posters everywhere, so my friend and I decided to go to H&M early in the morning because we expected a fast sale out. And we were right ,but it was even crazier. H&M opened at 10 o clock and we were there at 9.30 am when there was already a line of 20 to 30 people….by 9.45 there were a least 100 people including radio and TV teams. When the store opened at 10, everybody ran inside and grabbed everything they could hold…I’m serious…everything. Lucky me, I got my dress and ran to the men’s dressing rooms immediately because I knew that was my only chance to try it on. It fit, I bought it and was happy. But you have to know that the collection was sold out within 5 minutes and I am SURE that it will be the same with Comme des garcons. So if you really wanna have something, be there at least 30 minutes before they open, know how to kick and run, bring some time to stand in line and dont be afraid to give interviews. Good luck to everyone….I might see you there ;)

This is the editorial from ELLE UK Nov. issue with KK on the cover. Honestly, I wouldnt have thought that KK can look that different and I am happy that finally she is showing a different side of her than just the smiling, funny VS Angel. The pictures look seductive, yet sophisticated and after seeing them I am excited to see Karolina in this year’s VSFS. Seems she is back in shape and better than before. Go KK!!!

Thanx to discothequechic for the scans

This is a tip for all fashionistas out there who can’t get enough of the latest fashion news ( like me ). If you have an iPod touch or an iPhone, download the style.com application from Apple’s app store. I did that yesterday and I am so impressed. With that application you can watch the latest fashion show videos in very good quality or check out the pics of the full collections on your iPod/iPhone. You can also read reviews and news whenever you want and the best - it’s for free. All you need is an internet connection and you’re ready to have style to go. Another great application is the Chanel app. Full collections, videos and news about Chanel - the only bad thing is that they are not that fast at updating it than style.com. I really love my itouch and the thousand free apps there are. Here are two screenshots of the style.com app:

John Galliano is known as being quite extrordinary and over the top or simply very creative. I think he does a great job for Dior, but of course he also has his own collection “John Galliano”, which surprises each season. I would love to read John’s mind sometimes, like yesterday when he was backstage before his fashion show and saw all the models getting hair and make up done. I seriously have never seen a crazier style than in this show. Multicolored hair with pieces of paper in it??!!! All colors of the rainbow on one face????!!! My first thought was…ok,this is too much. But then I saw the close ups and it just looks so creative and special so I began to like it. The bad thing is, I hardly payed any attention to the clothes. The makeup was just overwhelming by itself and I am sure that this wasn’t John’s intention. I think the bottom line is: Either you love him or you hate him - I love him.
