Whitney Port from “The Hills” now has her own show called “The City” ( what an uncreative name ) and I just watched the first two episodes online. Here’s what I think: I really like Whitney, always have and probably always will, because I think she is one of the….let’s say “smarter” girls and I also think she knows quite a lot about the fashion industry. Sure…she never would have gotten a job at DVF without being the celebrity that she is, but I think she deserves it more than some other “it-girls”. The other main people of the show are socialite Olivia who is the type of girl that I hate…arrogant and superficial, Aussie musician Jay who is definitely hot, but seems to be not very trustworthy and Whitney’s friend Erin who seemed quite boring to me. The show itself is nothing spectacular…just a lot of drama and very much like The Hills, but I enjoyed seeing some NY Fashion Week backstage footage and recognizing this one guy who worked backstage at the VSFS 03 and 05…he is the one who always tells the models “Ok girls, remember be flirty,fast and smiley and keep the energy up!”…I like him^^ So…I think for the sake of the few “fashion-scenes”, I will keep watching the show, but I wouldnt be surprised if it bores me to death within the next two or three episodes…
