voooogue Cover Deja Vu

Today I noticed something…I looked at the new magazine covers and saw that the fonts of VOGUE, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and others are all the same. Now, maybe I am the only one who hadnt noticed that before but I think that’s pretty weird. If I were for example editor of ELLE I would want my magazine to look different and unique. So why dont they choose their own font? Or is it “The Fashion Font” ? To me the only magazine with that font should be Vogue. For March, Vogue Australia decided to support their own models again and put Abbey Lee on the cover on a fancy orange background. It looks a bit too commercial for my taste, but I love the Balmain jacket that she is wearing! Vogue UK’s cover with Lily Donaldson looks girls, romantic and perfect for Spring, whereas ELLE’s cover needs some color!!! Gwyneth is fine, but black and white? Now imagine this with a pink or yellow font, would be much better! Vogue Brazil’s cover is to die for, love it! Now there is this Canadian magazine called “Fashion” (very creative name) with Mary Kate Olsen on their cover. It doesnt look too interesting…could be any other fashion mag. Last but not least, Harper’s Bazaar with a very photoshopped Sarah Jessica Parker. Does she have a new movie? A new boyfriend? Did I miss something? Anyways….winner of this month’s covers is Vogue Brazil for me.
