….I want! I just love backstage pictures, don’t you? I think they’re so much more interesting than the actual runway shots. You can see the outfits from different angles and the colors look more real. And group shots like this are the best! You dont get to see the whole collection (or at least half of it) in one picture very often. On this picture you can compare everything and really decide if you like the collection or not. I personally adore the colors of those dresses! The shiny pastel shades look so fresh and lovely…I would wanna have all of those dresses!

vpjune2009cov Vogue Paris June/July 2009 ... so Parisian

After last years June/July issue with Noemie Lenoir and Laeticia Casta on the cover, my anticipation for this years issue was high. And now that Ive seen the first previews I can say, I’m not disappointed but not super excited either. It’s definitely a must buy for me, but it could have been better. Anja Rubik is on the cover and she looks nice, it’s just the outfit and the background that could have been so much better. Just imagine a Parisian street in the background instead of this lame white background and imagine Anja wearing something more couture like…THAT would have gotten me really excited. The eds inside seem pretty good, There is one with Natasha Poly and Anja and I love the concept. Its shot in Paris, which makes the ed have this chic Parisian atmosphere. How sweet is the picture with Natasha and this guy in front of a Parisian cafe?! And the one with Anja in front of the Eiffel Tower…like it a lot! Maybe it’s because I’m a big Paris fan…

Miranda Kerr showed up at the Cannes Film Festival this week wearing a wonderful orange Mini dress. The color suits her so well! Her boyfriend Orlando Bloom looked a bit boring next to her in that all grey outfit, but I guess she picked that outfit for him since Orlando never looked so clean cut before. They are a really cute couple and look great together! On another note….here are some new XOXO ads with Miranda, photoshopped to death though…I dont know why they do that…as if Miranda Kerr needs photoshop…zzz…

I love Karl Lagerfeld, he never disappoints me with his fashion shows. Same with the Chanel Cruise 2009/2010 collection shown in Venice a few days ago. The clothes were beautiful, the location right at the beach was amazing and the model line up was impressive. I just couldnt help but laugh about the hair of some of the models. Almost all of them wore short curly hair and especially Edita Vilkeviciute looked completely different with a red hair do. But the most outrageous is this one…

ng080828modelaboutface Another Aussie model for Victorias Secret... Jessica Hart

Three years ago Victoria’s Secret didnt have any Aussie models, now, there are four! Of course the most popular one is Miranda Kerr, then there is Abbey Lee Kershaw and Sarah Stephens who walked down the runway of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2008 and the newest one who just signed a contract with the lingerie company is Jessica Hart! Honestly didnt expect that, I think Jessica is…well…”too cool” for Victoria’s Secret, but then again she did Sports Illustrated so she definitely got the body for VS. I’m pretty positive we’re gonna see her at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2009, should be interesting…

I just noticed how perfect Edita looks “off duty”. Whenever there are pics of her outside of Fashion Week Tents she looks really good! She could walk on the runway in these outfits imo. I wonder why so many models choose to wear heels even when they dont have to…do their feet never get tired? Are they afraid they dont look sexy without heels? Anyways, I really like Edita’s look which is not as edgy and rock-ish as the other model’s, it’s more classic with a very trendy touch. Go Edita! Cant wait to see her streetstyle during the upcoming Fashion Weeks!

So as promised, here’s some more goss about the new German Vogue issue which is dedicated to Heidi Klum. In the editorial called “Rodeo Drive” there is this picture with Heidi lying on some bench, why? Cos she is wearing freaking 20 cm heels from Alexander McQueen!!! I think those shoes are horrible, they remind me of prostitutes and who the hell is supposed to walk in them? But aparently Heidi DID walk in them without falling…good job Heidi!

Yes, it really happened! Today I received my Vogue Germany copy for June and what do I see? A very classy black and white cover and pink font saying “Heidi Klum by Vogue”! Heidi Klum? in Vogue? WOW…honestly didnt expect it to turn out that good, I havent had time to look at all pics but I flipped through it and saw at least three editorials with her and some of the pics looked really really nice. Finally some high fashion from Heidi and not just TV Guide looking covers. I like it a lot, especially coming from Vogue Germany. Will give you more inside scoop about it later but for now, here’s my scan:

metsmall Models at the Met Gala

Where can you see tons of topmodels in beautiful outfits at the same time? No, I’m not talking about the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, I’m talking about the Costume Institute Met Gala, which took place yesterday. The theme was “Model as Muse” and yes, there were a LOT of muses. I didn’t wanna post thumbnails of all of them so I made this lil collage of my favorite outfits and models. Let’s see…from left to right…

I don’t really care for Kate Moss and  I think she could have looked better, Miranda Kerr looked good, but her dress looked cheap, Jessica Stam wore Rodarte and looked really classy, Erin Wasson showed a lot of skin as always, Isabeli Fontana looked lovely minus the shoes,Anna Jagodzinska really suits red, Anja Rubik seemed as if she was backstage at the Balmain show, Gisele was all about glitter (too much), Claudia Schiffer showed off her new bangs and Maryna Linchuk’s dress was one of my favorites. Which model looked best in your opinion?
