So, Alexander Wang’s collection wasn’t really pretty or wearable BUT so far it is the only collection that stood out and is stuck in my head. Besides the preppy clothes, the hair and make up of the models attracted my attention, because i really like braids especially if they’re a bit messy and wild like at Alexander Wang’s Show. The most fun and beautiful picture are always taken backstage. The models are allowed to pose the way they want and hang out with their model friends and of course you get to see the designer’s clothes better than on the runway pictures. Well, what can I tell you, day 3 of New York Fashion Week is almost over and I am still really not impressed. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a hater and I appreciate every collection, it’s just that this time NY Fashion Week seems not as exciting as usually. Maybe I expected too much…. the highlight of Day 2 and 3 for me was seeing Behati Prinsloo at the Lacoste and Arise Fashion Show. She looked really cute and beautiful in both fashion shows. At Arise she wore orange lipstick which suits hardly any woman, but she looked amazing! I also like seeing pictures of her and her boyfriend Jamie, they always look very happy together.
Besides Behati, where are all the other topmodels? Has anyone seen Natasha? Coco? Lily? It’s boring without them…
Really, I am a bit disappointed by the Fashion Shows and collections at New York Fashion Week so far. Everything was rather boring and felt kinda like…been there done that. The things that caught my eye weren’t pieces of the designers collections, but outfits of celebrities and the Fashion’s Night Out event. I found Sarah Jessica Parker adorable in her very creative outfit last night. She wore the Fashion’s Night Out T-Shirt with a beautiful silky pink skirt and black belt. Once again she showed her “Carrie” side. Another cool thing last night was Natasha Poly and Alexander Wang playing Guitar Hero, they seemed to have so much fun! The third and final thing that attracted my attention was Whitney Port, because I actually really liked her outfit that she wore at her own fashon show. Lovely colors and cuts, she looked great! I really hope day 2 will be more exciting fashion wise though…
Yaaaaayyyywooooohoooo! It’s New York Fashion Week Time! Day 1 isnt even over yet and already there are about a million things that I wanna blog about, starting with this amazing photo of all my favorite models in front of the NYFW tent. Who is the prettiest of them all and who wears the best shoes of them all are questions that I asked myself. Seriously, can it get better than this for a photographer or model freak like me? I mean EVERYONE was there….Natasha Poly, Lily Donaldson, Coco Rocha, Julia Stegner, Jessica Stam, Karlie Kloss, Sasha Pivovarova and even pregnant Karolina Kurkova was there!!! Best shoes? Hmm I would want Coco’s or Stamy’s heels. Anyways guys, stay tuned for tons of New York Fashion Week posts during the next week. Oh and tonight Miranda Kerr and super pregnant Adriana Lima will make an appearance at the Fashion’s Night Out, I wonder what they will wear…
Smart, cute, tough, is what I would call the answer of Miranda Kerr when a TMZ reporter said “You should be wearing red, it’s the color of love”, probably meaning “You look so much in love with Orlando Bloom”. Instead of ignoring the cheeky comment, Miranda said “Aah…no, Pink is the color of the heart,baby!” Yes! You go Miranda! She loves pink…and looks great in pink so I’d say she should stick to the color of the heart instead of switching to red. Here’s the video:
It was like christmas and my birthday at the same time when I found my Vogue Anniversary Issue in the mailbox yesterday. Actually it was only half in the mailbox, the other half didnt fit in. Ladies and Gentlemen, this issue has 730 pages!!! It is so heavy, I had to actually carry it with both hands into my house. I got the Bruce Weber issue (the other two are Karl lagerfeld and Peter Lindbergh issues) and so far I think it is amazing. I only flipped through it yet and scanned my favorite editorial called “Berlin bei Nacht” with models Abbey Lee Kershaw, Candice Swanepoel and Behati Prinsloo. Here are my scans…
I was quite shocked when I saw this new editorial from Purple magazine. Models Abbey Lee Kershaw, Magdalena Frackowiak, Eniko Mihalik and Freja Beha Erichsen are posing naked in this “fashion” editorial and are not afraid to show what they’ve got. The pics are shot by Terry Richardson who appears in some pics too (looking very happy). I dont know what to think of that ed. I actually love the make up and hair style and facial expressions, but there is a bit too much nudity going on. I love the end of summer, at least fashion wise, because for some reason the best editorials are in the September/October issues of fashion magazines. This one stunned me today. It’s called Mustang Baby and it’s fabulous because it has that old, vintage, arty vibe and Anja Rubik is the perfect model for it. For some reason she looks as if she is straight from the 70s, although her look wasnt really changed for the editorial. I love her hair, her poses and of course the clothes! Check it out…
Finally!!!! My heart stopped for a second, I had teary eyes, my brain was full of my favorite scenes from Sex and the City all of a sudden and I felt my day had just gotten 10000 times better. The first pictures of Sarah Jessica Parker aka Carrie Bradshaw on the set of Sex And The City 2 (yaaaaay) are here! And oh my god have I missed seeing Carrie and her fabulous outfits. Look at her shoooooes!!!! Glittery Louboutins…SO Carrie! I also wanna mention her amazing hair, great color, great style! I cant wait for more pictures to come! By the way… SATC2 will be in cinemas on May 28, 2010.
