I think this is a really good way of describing Miranda Kerr’s career. Just call her Kerr-Ching! She is so successful and now that she also walked for Balenciaga she shows us that there is more to her than just the ever smiling VS Angel. Lovely cover btw, amazing color for her.

New York Backstage Summer 2010

Anna Selezneva has the perrrrrfect shade of Blonde on this picture. I love it! I wanna have it! Thing is… I am pretty sure it’s her natural hair color and it’s nearly impossible to create a natural shade of blonde by dyeing your hair. Sigh…

vogueusnov09 1 US VOGUE November 2009 ... hello Photoshop!

Wow, now that is one big Photoshop mess. Annie Leibovitz shot this cover and basically it could have been epic, unfortunatley someone just had a little bit too much fun photoshopping it. Aparently all four of them, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Penelope Cruz and Kate Hudson were actually there at this beach for the shooting, but after hours of retouching it looks like someone copy/pasted their pics on the stunning background. However, if you ignore the photoshop job, it is a great picture with beautiful lighting and much better than many other VOGUE US covers. So far one more pic was published, all of them wearing black which makes me think the cover would have looked so much better with them wearing a darker color. Anyways, let’s wait for the content to really judge this issue.

lv Louis Vuitton ... LOL

Afros, huuuuge Afros, clogs with fringes, weird red make up, pink, orange and green fur tails and sporty bags….hmm….I like it. It’s so absurd and crazy that I have to like it. Yes, I admit that if this wasn’t created by Marc Jacobs maybe I wouldnt like it as much, but it is what it is: a funny, not taking itself too serious Louis Vuitton collection and I’m sure if you look at the pieces seperately they are really cool and great for editorials.

I just returned from work, I am super tired and it’s late anyways but I just wanna say: Baptiste Giabiconi, you are so hot! And Karl Lagerfeld, thank you for designing this wonderful collection and showing me again why I love Chanel so much. Again though…how hot does Baptiste look next to Freja?!

covers November Covers

As always Vogue Australia is one of the fastest to publish their cover for next month. Elyse Taylor looks very elegant and summery, love the make up, love the hair, love the vintage vibe of the cover. The other three covers are from UK magazines, Vogue UK chose Georgia May Jagger and there’s just a little bit too much red on this cover, sometimes less is more… ELLE UK is nice this November, just nice, nothing more. Nothing too interesting, I don’t even know the cover girl and the styling is pretty much average. Now the best cover goes to….UK Harper’s Bazaar!!!! I love close ups like that and Claudia Schiffer never disappoints. Now I’m anxiously waiting for Vogue Germany, US and Paris!

rykiel Sonia Rykiel Fashion Show...and H&M

As you’ve probably already heard Sonia Rykiel will be the next guest designer for H&M. What an improvement after Matthew Williamson!!!! There will be a lingerie collection available on Dec. 5 and a knitwear collection available on Feb.20 2010. I am especially excited for the knitwear, after all this is what Rykiel is famous for. I hope there will be some pieces from the latest collection which she presented yesterday during Paris Fashion Week. I always love seeing the models dancing and having a good time…

abbeypink Abbey Lees on fire!

So, Aussie model Catherine McNeil is taking a break from modeling atm so she wasnt at the fashion weeks. Who took her spot? That’s right, Abbey Leeeeeee!!! She openend and closed so many shows, had one of the best bodies and now also this: The campaign for Forum Tufi Duek. This campaign shows that you dont need an expensive location for a good photoshoot, you just need a great model. I love the picture with the pink outfit. So girly, yet so fierce. Great pose, Abbey! Oh and, can I have her legs, please?!

barbie Living Barbie Dolls

It’s sometimes unbelievable how perfect models can look. Sure, we all know that tons of make up and hair extensions play a big part of that, but still, Toni Garrn and Vlada Roslyakova shocked me with their looks at the Versace/ Dior Fashion shows. With their blonde wavy hair, their perfect bodies and feminine outfits they really remind me of my Barbie dolls that I used to play with when I was 3.

city spots image leidseplein 14819 Back from the Beer Tents and Coffee Shops

Hello my lovely readers, I am back from my short holiday and ready to tell you all about it. First things first: Oktoberfest rocks! If you have a chance to be part of it at least once in your life, do it! It’s such a fun filled happy place, a little wild of course, but most of all Bavarian. Singing German drinking songs while standing on a bench with 10 other people, Mass beer in the right hand, pretzel in the other really is a great way to party and I would definitely go there again.

Now Amsterdam: Great city! Beautiful city! I love the fact that it’s so small compared to Berlin, you can walk to where you wanna go and you can enjoy a coffee by one of the many canals. It is also one of the most fashionable cities I’ve ever seen. The typical Dutch girl is at least 1,75 m tall and wears skinny jeans or leggins combined with casual Tees or romantic blouses, leather jackets and designer bags and sunglasses. Although I got sick during the last days in Amsterdam, I really loved every day of my holiday, especially because I could spend it with the people I love.

Now, while I was gone the fashion world didnt stop spinning around. I missed Milan Fashion Week, a great Versace show, Miranda Kerr walking for Balenciaga and tons of other stuff. I will try to catch up with everything now ; )
