Dear readers, this is my last post from my home town Berlin as I will be going to the airport tonight to fly to my second home, Sydney, Australia. I’m gonna spend 6 wonderful weeks in the land of Kangaroos and Koalas and hopefully have an amazing New Year’s Eve in the heat! First time ever that I wont wear several layers of clothes and freeze at NYE. Of course I’ll keep blogging from down under even though it might not be everyday, I’ll let you know when I meet Miranda Kerr, Abbey Lee, Catherine McNeil, Elyse Taylor or Jessica Hart ( wow…so many Aussie topmodels!!! ).

So to everyone, I wish you a wonderful New Year’s Eve wherever you are and may 2010 be great for all of us!

Merry Christmas everyone!!! Now, for the end of the year I wanted to do something special, so I spent some hours to collect pictures of my favorite Model Street Styles of 2009. I know some of you might say they all look alike or they all wear too much black, but I just love their style, its simple yet trendy and always cool. So here are pictures of my favorite street style inspirations like Freja Beha Erichsen, Karlie Kloss, Kasia Struss, Skye Stracke and of course THE Street Style Queen, Natasha Poly. Enjoy!

I think I have a new favorite designer when it comes to dresses. While surfing a little bit throgh net-a-porter I found that all my favorite dresses were from the same designer: Roland Mouret, here’s why, he designs dresses for every occasion!

This is what I would wear to a fancy cocktail party:

I’d wear this amazing purple dress to dinner with my BF:

sasha 0014 Sasha works it! The Givenchy Blazer...

Now this is a great picture of an editorial. It’s part of Vogue US Jan 10 issue and shows Sasha Pivovarova with singers, I especially love this picture. Why? Because she makes me wanna look like her eventhough she looks quite crazy. The pink hair - awesome. The make up - awesome. The Blazer - super awesome. Seriously I hope Zara or Topshop will sell a good copy of that Givenchy Blazer soon, I love it!

Missing Carrie

carrie Missing Carrie

Today I realized that there’s someone who is quite responsible for my passion for fashion, at least she was there every week when I was starting to find my own style. Carrie Bradshaw. Ever since Sex and the city finished there was no TV show that I liked as much. I miss it and I’m happy that reruns will start tonight. I still can’t believe some of the outfits Carrie wore and how amazing she looked even though everyone else would have looked like a clown in it. The pearl necklaces, the ruffled skirts, the wild hair, the high heels, the many colors and combinations, all that was Carrie and it is incredible how some of her outfits she wore 7 or 8 years ago would still be up to date today. To me she was and is an inspiration.

On the other hand the first official poster for the SATC 2 movie looks like this, quite disappointing if you ask me…

GQ Victoria’s Secret Issue

Today I was looking for French Vogue when I turned around and saw Miranda Kerr on the cover of German GQ. I flipped through it and saw that this was the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2009 Backstage Special Issue. I am a little bit confused because the past years, it used to be GQ UK and they released it in June of the following year. I always thought that was bullshit so I am happy that German GQ seems to publish the VS issues now. These are my scans, enjoy!

Vogue Germany January 2010: Toni Garrn

tonivoguejan Vogue Germany January 2010: Toni Garrn

The magazine year 2010 began for me today when I received my copy of Vogue Germany January 2010. Toni Garrn is on the cover and looks a lot like Brigitte Bardot! But I love that look…so beautiful and feminine, strong and sultry at the same time. Another thing thats great about the cover is the text “fashion is my love” on the right… I think that applies to everyone reading Vogue ; ) Now I will enjoy the first Vogue of the year 2010 with a hot cup of coffee…. nothing else needed to make me happy.
