I love going out with friends and of course dressing up for nights like that. In Berlin there are a lot of clubs that require appropriate dressing, mostly meaning high heels for girls, button up shirt for men and definitely no jeans. Apparently, preparing for a night out is getting more important to young people again, which is good! Waiting in line is much better if you can check out well-dressed people.
But dressing up is not limited to clubs; there are other social activities that young people seem to enjoy wearing fancy outfits, even unusual things like playing bingo! In Germany, bingo isn’t very popular, but I like the idea of spending time with friends playing bingo, wearing bingo fashion!
Who says you shouldn’t always try your best to look good? Back in the day, men and women paid way more attention to the way they looked when they left the house. Just think of the 50s style. The girls’ hair and make up must have taken forever every morning! And as far as casinos are concerned, I guess people there look very chic too!
I know our generation is a little more laid back when it comes to the way we look and we embrace the freedom to dress the way we want to, which is good! But from time to time, I like to make an effort!
If you think about it, it even makes sense. I mean, we have to finance our fashionista lifestyle somehow, right? So why not doing it in style, playing bingo games and maybe winning some money to afford your outfit for the next night out with friends? Sounds like a good idea to me!

I can’t believe this woman has three children. She must be the best dressed mum ever. Everyday she picks up her kids from school looking polished and stylish. That color of the sweater is amazing and I love her watch, belt and bag (and the Starbucks drink in her hand ; ) )! It is such a simple, yet classic and perfect outfit for her. Oh and….did I mention her amazing hair? Ok…enough praising, you get the point. I <3 Claudia

Tiffany&Co is a brand that is automatically associated with two things: proposals and christmas. The winter campaigns are always lovely and this year it’s Doutzen Kroes smiling at us next to a very good looking male model. The concept is simple, but good, since these ads will make thousands of girls dream of being that girl, sitting outside a French cafe with their boyfriend while it is snowing. Then, oh so unexpected, he pulls out that little blue package. It’s cliche, it’s over the top, and it will probably never happen. But we love it. Doutzen, who just got married in real life suits the campaign very well and the pictures will definitely put a smile on my face everytime I see them in magazines…

Finally! I have no idea what took Kirstie Clements so long, but this is Miranda Kerr’s first Vogue Australia cover ever. It is also the first VA cover, showing a pregnant woman and from the tiny preview that we got so far, it looks beautiful! I hope this means that Miranda will be featured more often in Vogue Australia, I expect her to have a phenomenal comeback as a model once she took some time off for the family. How cool must it be for the baby, especially if it’s gonna be a girl! In about 18 years she will be like “Yep, that was my first Vogue cover”. And maybe not the last…

What a day… looking through thousands of pictures, getting excited for things like seeing ballons and bubbles falling from the ceiling for the finale of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2010, which took place last night in NY. I always love the tension right before the show, because you never know which last-minute-changes VS is gonna make. This year they changed quite a bit right before the show, for example, they gave the tough love outfit to Magdalena instead of Adriana. And although that’s sad for Adriana, I have to admit Magda looked uh-ma-zing in it! Adriana had her moment with the fantasy bra, I loved her firework inspired wings. Other great moments were Alessandra blowing glitter from her hands, Maryna’s rainbow outfit or the super-colorful finale. I have high hopes for the final cut of the show that will air on Nov 30 on CBS! Until then, here are some of my favorite pictures, thank you Sasha from lima-fans for getting us HQs!

Ok, I am excited. The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2010 will take place in less than 48 hours and there have been so many sneek peaks of the outfits today! The best one probably goes to Lily Donaldson. It’s in the heavenly bodies segment and simply looks divine! I also love Adriana’s fantasy bra wings (firework inspired) and the fact that KK will be there again! But after seeing the pic above of the photo op today, one thing is sure. VS neeeeeeds to stop putting this orange fake tan on all the girls! Seriously, in this picture everyone looks terrible (tan-wise) except for Adriana. Pleeeease VS dont ruin the show with terrible styling!

It’s November! I can’t believe it! November means almost december which means almost christmas which means almost NYE. I am looking forward to christmas time, all the lights and green, red and gold colors will decorate everything, even magazines! Vogue UK and Harper’s Bazaar UK seem to be in a christmas mood already, the fonts on their december covers are shiny and gold. Magazines love to do that for their christmas issues and I don’t mind it, it looks quite nice and even a bit more “expensive”. Especially Emma Watson’s cover looks season appropriate, it reminds me of snow because of all the white! Now I’m very curious to see what Vogue Germany will come up with…
