New Vogue! New Vogue! New Vogue! So my favorite day of the whole month is here…the March issue of Vogue Germany is out and who is on the cover AGAIN? Our lovely oh-so-successful Toni Garrn. I’m sure a lot of people will find this Chanel Cowboy outfit very tacky, but I don’t. I am happy to see Toni with an extreme styling, a dramatic makeup and a different hairdo than with her usual clean nude makeup look. Besides….I adore Chanel, you can never go wrong with some Chanel on a cover. Her eyes look beautiful, I like the colors and that there isn’t too much text on the cover…so to sum it up…great job Vogue Germany! I will definitely enjoy reading this issue!
So Adriana Lima has a 12 page editorial in the March issue of ELLE US. That’s good! She should do more fashion related stuff instead of only VS and GQ covers. It’s just….I don’t know exactly why, but somehow Adriana always looks a bit “cheap” and tacky to me. Maybe it’s that “sexy” look in her eyes or the fact that I havent seen her in a high fashion show or photoshoot for years, but what can I say, out of those 12 pictures there are only 3 that I like and which I post here. The blazers in the first two pics are amazing and look really classy, I’m also a huge fan of the bracelets, but I just don’t get why they had to choose a bedroom as location (tacky!!!!). Anyways…it’s good to see Adriana in a fashion editorial.
Today I noticed something…I looked at the new magazine covers and saw that the fonts of VOGUE, ELLE, Harper’s Bazaar and others are all the same. Now, maybe I am the only one who hadnt noticed that before but I think that’s pretty weird. If I were for example editor of ELLE I would want my magazine to look different and unique. So why dont they choose their own font? Or is it “The Fashion Font” ? To me the only magazine with that font should be Vogue. For March, Vogue Australia decided to support their own models again and put Abbey Lee on the cover on a fancy orange background. It looks a bit too commercial for my taste, but I love the Balmain jacket that she is wearing! Vogue UK’s cover with Lily Donaldson looks girls, romantic and perfect for Spring, whereas ELLE’s cover needs some color!!! Gwyneth is fine, but black and white? Now imagine this with a pink or yellow font, would be much better! Vogue Brazil’s cover is to die for, love it! Now there is this Canadian magazine called “Fashion” (very creative name) with Mary Kate Olsen on their cover. It doesnt look too interesting…could be any other fashion mag. Last but not least, Harper’s Bazaar with a very photoshopped Sarah Jessica Parker. Does she have a new movie? A new boyfriend? Did I miss something? Anyways….winner of this month’s covers is Vogue Brazil for me.

Thats a short summary of the new launched German Fashion/lifestyle magazine “Mirage”. It is published twice a year, so it’s a rather special kind of magazine featuring creative and artistic editorials. I wanna show you my favorite of this issue of Mirage….it’s an editorial called “Guess that I just don’t know” photographed by Emir Eralp. The model is called Melody and I think she did an amazing job. I find the pictures very inspiring fashion wise, love the outfits and poses as well as the lighting and background. Craving for the clothes…

I think I have a new favorite model…at least she’s in my top 5 now. After seeing the Bohemian Rhapsody editorial that I posted earlier this week and seeing this awesome editorial for W mag, I am impressed by Edita Vilkiviciute. She is extremely pretty and has an amazing bone structure, which makes every picture look fabulous. Even her candids look pretty!!! I will definitely pay more attention to her in the upcoming Fashion Weeks. Here’s the rest of the W ed…
I dont know if you ever experienced this or if I’m just a freak, but there are some pictures/editorials that just make me go aaaawww when I see them. They’re either really beautiful or different or creative, whatever it is, they have that special something that makes me wanna see more. This happened to me this morning while I was reading Vogue. I saw this Editorial called “Bohemian Rhapsody” with model Edita Vilkeviciute and I was very impressed. I cant really tell you what I especially like about it, but Edita is wearing some of my favorite pieces from the s/s collections and the pictures just look fabulous. I hope you enjoy my scans as much as I enjoyed them…

I saw so many things in the new Vogue today that I wanna have….shoes…jewellery….beauuuutiful clothes….but one thing really caught my eye. This wonderful, white D&G bag seems so perfect for summer! And because it has zippers outside it can be folded into a small bag…so handy!!! I love it…I will dream of it tonight.

Finally!!!! The new Vogue Germany Issue is out and I like the cover but it looks soooo familiar!!!! And I cant think of what it reminds me of…I have definitely seen a very similar cover in the past. Hmm…I really dont know, but I wanna say that the phrases “Best of Fashion” and “Die neue Mode” are used waaaay too much. Will buy it tomorrow and escape into the world of Vogue while sipping coffee… :)

Ooops, another post about Gisele^^ Well…don’t blame me, she is a workaholic! I just wanted to show you the different ELLE covers that Gisele shot, supporting RED, which is a campaign to support eliminating AIDS in Africa. I think it’s great that she is doing this, but the covers themselves….well…does she only have one facial expression??? I know she can do better. My favorite is the grey/pink one, I think it’s ELLE Sweden?! Which one do you prefer?
Prepare for another I-Love-Natasha-Poly-Post….so…it’s spring/summer campaign time which means that most of the s/s 09 campaigns can be seen in the February issues of all big fashion magazines and we get to know which models landed which campaign and of course (!!!) Natasha scored some amazing ones again. My favorite by far is this Louis Vuitton one….well….its not really a campaign, it’s pictures from their Cruise catalogue but I adooooore them….especially the close up with the sunglasses. Natasha is fierce fierce fierce as always! Cant wait to see her in more campaigns. Here are the rest of the pics…
