So, Alexander Wang’s collection wasn’t really pretty or wearable BUT so far it is the only collection that stood out and is stuck in my head. Besides the preppy clothes, the hair and make up of the models attracted my attention, because i really like braids especially if they’re a bit messy and wild like at Alexander Wang’s Show. The most fun and beautiful picture are always taken backstage. The models are allowed to pose the way they want and hang out with their model friends and of course you get to see the designer’s clothes better than on the runway pictures. So here are the best backstage at Alexander Wang pics:

Well, what can I tell you, day 3 of New York Fashion Week is almost over and I am still really not impressed. Don’t get me wrong, I am not a hater and I appreciate every collection, it’s just that this time NY Fashion Week seems not as exciting as usually. Maybe I expected too much…. the highlight of Day 2 and 3 for me was seeing Behati Prinsloo at the Lacoste and Arise Fashion Show. She looked really cute and beautiful in both fashion shows. At Arise she wore orange lipstick which suits hardly any woman, but she looked amazing! I also like seeing pictures of her and her boyfriend Jamie, they always look very happy together.

Besides Behati, where are all the other topmodels? Has anyone seen Natasha? Coco? Lily? It’s boring without them…

Nothing spectacular so far…

190587789 Nothing spectacular so far...

Really, I am a bit disappointed by the Fashion Shows and collections at New York Fashion Week so far. Everything was rather boring and felt kinda like…been there done that. The things that caught my eye weren’t pieces of the designers collections, but outfits of celebrities and the Fashion’s Night Out event. I found Sarah Jessica Parker adorable in her very creative outfit last night. She wore the Fashion’s Night Out T-Shirt with a beautiful silky pink skirt and black belt. Once again she showed her “Carrie” side. Another cool thing last night was Natasha Poly and Alexander Wang playing Guitar Hero, they seemed to have so much fun! The third and final thing that attracted my attention was Whitney Port, because I actually really liked her outfit that she wore at her own fashon show. Lovely colors and cuts, she looked great! I really hope day 2 will be more exciting fashion wise though…

Yaaaaayyyywooooohoooo! It’s New York Fashion Week Time! Day 1 isnt even over yet and already there are about a million things that I wanna blog about, starting with this amazing photo of all my favorite models in front of the NYFW tent. Who is the prettiest of them all and who wears the best shoes of them all are questions that I asked myself. Seriously, can it get better than this for a photographer or model freak like me? I mean EVERYONE was there….Natasha Poly, Lily Donaldson, Coco Rocha, Julia Stegner, Jessica Stam, Karlie Kloss, Sasha Pivovarova and even pregnant Karolina Kurkova was there!!! Best shoes? Hmm I would want Coco’s or Stamy’s heels. Anyways guys, stay tuned for tons of New York Fashion Week posts during the next week. Oh and tonight Miranda Kerr and super pregnant Adriana Lima will make an appearance at the Fashion’s Night Out, I wonder what they will wear…

I just had to post these pictures, because I think Natasha looked absolutely beautiful at the Zac Posen Fashion Show. The collection got a lot of bad reviews and indeed seemed a little bit tacky, but the make up and hair styling looked wonderful and Natasha outshined everyone once again. Here are two more pictures taken by William Chung :)

Anna Sui’s fashion shows are always one of my favorite at NYFW. Why? Because her outfits are full of so many details and always look a little bit wild and crazy. Moreover, the models always look healthy and like theyre having a lot of fun and since I love cowboy boots, Anna Sui is my kind of style. This collection is not too different from her last one I must say, but it has some lovely accessories like moon tiaras which I love! My favorite looks are Isabeli Fontana’s and Lily Donaldson’s. And look at the backdrop! Crazy and beautiful….more of William’s pics:

Pink fur! Orange fur! Green fur! Tacky? Maybe….but I looooove Michael Kors and I love crazy colors, so I am fine with it even if I wouldnt really wear it. There was a lot of “normal” looking fur too and I think I saw the most beautiful furry coat ever, it’s the one that Chanel Iman is wearing. Other than that there are a lot of coktail dresses and some really neat men’s suits. And sooo many topmodels in this show as well! Carmen Kass, Anna Selezneva, Vlada Roslyakova and many others….check out William’s pics…

Badgley Mischka’s Oscar Gowns

Badgley Mischka’s new collection is full of beautiful, elegant, shiny gowns that I am sure we will see at this year’s Oscar red carpet. The long sparkly dresses remind me a bit of Ralph Lauren, which is ok, because classic looking pieces are always needed. I don’t even know which one is my favorite, but I definitely love the long black dress at the end. I dont like the styling of the models though…something seems weird….especially some of the model’s tans ( too much Bronzer anyone? ). I think less would have been more. But it’s a beautiful collection, can’t deny that. Pics by William Chung.

Balmain….I mean…Herve Leger

herveleger 33 Balmain....I mean...Herve Leger

I LOVE Herve Legers collection, but you cant deny that it looks a lot like Balmain. I dont care if designers copy each other, after all they are all trying to sell clothes. The big 80’s shoulders seems to be a huge trend in 2009 and I kinda like it. Herve’s dresses look stunning as usual and are perfect for a night out. I’m sure we’re gonna see those dresses on a lot of red carpets, especially the last one on Anna Selezneva that looks a bit like a Disco ball. The fact that he shows those elegant party dresses with cool black boots is pretty good in my opinion, it supports this whole rocker-chic attitude. So far, definitely one of my favorite NYFW collections. Pictures taken by the wonderful William Chung ;)

When I see these pictures I have to think of the ocean and crystal clear blue water reflecting the sunlight. Akiko Ogawa used so many beautiful shades of blue for the clothes as well as for the eyes of the models. I love this look. Flavia looks so gorgeous, Chanel looks fierce and the whole scenery in general looks amazing. Blue has always been one of my favorite colors and I am happy a designer uses this color in such a creative way. Pics from Peter again ( http://www.petertsaiphotography.com )
