I have only one issue of i-D and I bought it about one year ago because of an editorial with Behati Prinsloo in it. It’s still one of my favorite eds of all time. Now, one year later, i-D chose Behati for this super cool cover, it suits her so well! I think I gotta make my second i-D purchase very soon.

The Met Gala is like the Oscars for fashionistas. It took place in NY last night and so many of my favorite models attended. Constance Jablonski, Natasha Poly, Lily Donaldson and also Miranda Kerr with hubby Orlando Bloom. Now, I have to admit that her dress isn’t that beautiful, it reminds me of Bjorks Swan dress, anyways, the couple always looks sooo happy and cute, you gotta love them! Another person I want to mention is Vera Wang, who always looks so pretty and has the most shiny hair I’ve ever seen! Moreover, she looks so much younger than 62! Amazing, I hope I will look that good when I’m her age. I’m too lazy to post more pictures, but I’m sure you can see them all over the net atm, so I’ll stick to Miranda and Vera.

Free gifts from designers? Free drinks and snacks? Sipping champagne while shopping? Sounds too good to be true! But Vogue Fashion’s Night Out in Berlin made it happen. Last night I went from Schumacher to Louis Vuitton to Moschino to H&M, enjoying some drinks and snacks while looking at all the fashionable people that had the same in mind as me, shopping! The Schumacher store opening was amazing, it is one of the nicest stores I’ve ever seen. I would move in asap if I could. They gave away MAC lipgloss and a beautiful candle. Moschino sold this lovely notebook that you can see above, the perfect item for a fashionista student ; ) On top of all this goodness, Claudia Schiffer walked by me surrounded by a camera crew, looking lovely as always. Luckily the stalker-fan in me was fast enough to take a picture of her.
Now that’s what I call a successful fashion’s night out! Can’t wait for next years… enjoy some of my pictures:

Quite fascinating what a simple sentence can do.

Now this is a great picture of an editorial. It’s part of Vogue US Jan 10 issue and shows Sasha Pivovarova with singers, I especially love this picture. Why? Because she makes me wanna look like her eventhough she looks quite crazy. The pink hair - awesome. The make up - awesome. The Blazer - super awesome. Seriously I hope Zara or Topshop will sell a good copy of that Givenchy Blazer soon, I love it!

Now this is freaking adorable…. I don’t care if it’s staged or not, it looks as if both couldn’t be happier. I love it.

Today you get a random thoughts post from me. I am not really motivated at the moment. We just switched to winter time which means the sun goes down around 4.30 pm now which is kinda frustrating. Unfortunately I don’t like to read books so what do I do when it’s dark and rainy outside and I don’t have anything to do? Yes, I love to read fashion magazines but that can only keep me busy for so long. Lately, I found myself reading random blogs and I really like those who are not only about fashion, but more like a scrapbook of people’s thoughts and inspirations or simply pretty pictures. I found this picture above on one of those blogs and I like it a lot because everyone can interpret it as they want. You could say “Wow, look at this bag! What a fashionista this must be!” Or you could say “Wow, this girl seems lonely, maybe she gave her heart to someone and had it broken”. I personally believe it’s the second thought. Looking for pictures like that is definitely more interesting than watching TV. I think TV is going downhill, it’s neither creative nor interesting anymore. There’s nothing better than talking to friends or people you love when you have time though. It is more satisfying, exciting and makes time go by faster than any magazine or blog … unfortunately. I hope to find motivation again soon or for it to find me.

I hate rain. Especially because my hair gets all messy and curly when it’s raining so I feel kinda bad for everyone at New York Fashion Week who can’t afford a driver to get them from A to B, because aparently it’s been very rainy during the last few days. The positive side of this is, I get to see cool streetstyle outfits of models, trying to not get wet. There are those who wear “traditional” black umbrellas, those who sport colorful umbrellas and those who dont carry umbrellas, but use their scarves to cover their heads (That’s what I would do too cos I don’t like carrying umbrellas). I fell in love with the girl’s look on the picture above, she looks lovely with her leather gloves and black and white outfit including gum boots!. Here’s some more rainy outfits… *raindrops keep fallin on my head, they keep fallin…*:

I am a bit confused by the fact that the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2009 will not be filmed in November as usually, but in September during New York Fashion Week. I guess they want to get rid of that christmas vibe that they always have in the fashion shows. the reason why I think so besides the new date of the show, is this new picture of the shooting of the holiday commercial. It doesnt really look like a christmas commercial to me, it looks more like a desert or something. I personally think that this is a good thing, because that way Victoria’s Secret has way more possibilities to create a fashion show that is not tacky. I still wonder when it will be aired on TV though…

I’m sitting in the comfy but hot press lounge while I write this, waiting for the Custo Barcelona Fashion Show which I will blog about later. Today was very busy, I went to 5 Shows and backstage to three. Anja Gockel’s Show was quite fun, good music and fans at the end of the runway, making the models and dresses look pretty good. It was also the show of GNTM models. There was the winner of the first season of GNTM, Lena Gercke and the second and winner of this season, Mandy and Sara. The outfits were quite nice, I saw some fun colorful summery dresses that I really liked, but what I liked even more was the styling. The girls had big, messy hair and lots of glitter on their eyelids which imo always looks good on the runway. Here are some pics…
